Biomechanics & Orthotics

Biomechanics refers to the way our muscles, bones and joints work together as we move. Podiatric biomechanics includes assessment and treatment of all foot, ankle and lower limb disorders. A Podiatrist can determine via biomechanical assessment whether your leg alignment and leg stability is normal.

Prescription biomechanical orthotics allow for a more normal function of the feet and legs. Orthotics help in controlling the abnormal motion that can lead to many overuse syndromes resulting in pain and/or deformity.

We are proud to say that in our office we now use state of the art 3D digital scanning technology in the fabrication of our custom prescription orthotics.

Conditions seen include: fallen arches, arch pain, flat feet, heel spurs, plantar fasciitis, foot imbalance, knee pain, shin splints, low back pain, chronic ankle sprains.
